Creating Your First AI Assistant
Follow the 5-step wizard to create your first AI assistant.
Step 1: Choose Use Case
Select what your assistant will be used for: Customer Support, Sales Assistant, or Custom.
Step 2: Basic Information
Give your assistant a name and optional description for internal reference.
Step 3: Knowledge Base (Optional)
Add a website URL for your assistant to learn from. Choose between crawling a single page or the whole website. You can skip this and add data sources later.
Step 4: AI Configuration
Select your AI model. Mistral models are available on all plans. OpenAI models (GPT-5, GPT-4o) require Pro or Enterprise plans.
Step 5: Complete Setup
Review your configuration and create your assistant. You'll then be taken to the dashboard where you can add more data sources and configure the widget.

Adding Data Sources
Learn how to add data sources to train your AI assistant with the right content.
How Data Sources Work
Data sources are separate from assistants. You create data sources, then assign them to one or more assistants. This lets you reuse the same content across multiple assistants.
Data Source Types
Available data source types depend on your plan:
Crawl single page or whole site
Starter+
PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text
Basic+
Note: Free plan users cannot create data sources.
Assigning Data Sources
After creating a data source, assign it to your assistant:
- Go to Data Sources in your dashboard
- Click the "Assign" tab
- Select the assistant you want to train
- Check the data sources you want to assign
- Click "Save" to apply changes
Search Priority
Each data source has a search priority setting (0.5x to 3.0x) that controls how highly it ranks in search results. Use higher priority (1.5x-3.0x) for authoritative content like FAQs.
Adding Widget to Your Website
Learn how to embed the chat widget on your website. Note: Widget embedding requires a paid plan.
Getting the Embed Code
To add your assistant to your website:
- Go to AI Assistants in your dashboard
- Click on your assistant to open settings
- Click the "Widget" tab
- Copy the embed script provided
- Paste it into your website's HTML before the closing
</body>tag
Widget Customization
Customize your widget's appearance in the Widget tab:
- Mode: Bubble (floating button) or Inline (embedded)
- Position: Bottom-right, bottom-left, top-right, top-left
- Colors: Brand color, gradients, background, text
- Theme: Light, dark, auto, or custom
- Animations: Bounce, pulse, scale, shake, and more
- Avatar: Mascot, custom image, or initials
Allowed Origins
Your widget will only work on domains you've whitelisted. Add your website domains in the assistant's settings under "Allowed Origins". The system automatically handles http/https and www variants.
Widget Not Showing?
- Check that your domain is in the Allowed Origins list
- Make sure you copied the entire embed script
- Verify the script is placed in HTML, not as plain text
- Clear your browser cache and refresh the page
- Ensure your assistant is set to "Active" status
- Confirm you have a paid plan (widgets require Starter+)
- If the problem persists, contact support
